Castle Vocabulary

We have been learning many different new vocabulary words about castles. We created our own castle and labeled some of the important parts. We worked really hard on these projects.

Stain Glass Windows

As we study knights and castles, we have been learning about different types of castles. The children all created their own stain glass windows. These are the kind of windows they would want in their own castle. See how they turned out!

I Have Who Has 1-30

Here is a group of students playing IHWH together. They are working together on number ID for numbers 1-30!

Knight Shields

Every students in our class created their own Knight Shield. We learned that Knights use symbols and colors on their shields to be recognized during battles. We decided to make 4 different sections on our shields. The top left is our first initial, the top right is our age, the bottom left is our favorite animal, and the bottom left is our favorite food! Here's how they turned out!

Pumpkin Picking

On Friday our class visited Crescent Frams! We took a scenic hayride out to the pumpkin patch. All the children picked out their own pumpkins. We have been studying how pumpkins grow in our classroom. We put on our observation hats and took a close look at the pumpkin patch. We noticed soil, vines, flowers, small green pumpkins and full grown pumpkins! It was a great day!

Graphics Practice

We have been practicing our fine motor skills this week. During graphics practice the children copy specific shapes to soft music. When the music stops the children stop. These shapes will help us form our letters and number correctly as we become amazing writers! Here are the kids hard at work!

The Three Little Pigs

As we continue to read and explore fairy tales, we have just read The Three Little Pigs! All the children had a blast acting out the fun story. Here are some of the fun props and sceneries we made!
